How long has it been since we were first informed that Dolphin 7 was on the way? Well after a little searching and digging I found this Boonex Unity Blog post dated November 23, 2008. Has it really been that long? Wow, it sure has.
If you follow the Boonex Unity Blogs there was a recent question and reply to when will Dolphin 7 finally be released as a stable version. The reply, which was a little vague, but it said before the end of the year. Which means before December 31st, 2009. That is barely 80 days left until that date.
In another post at Boonex Unity it was stated that there will be a Dolphin 7 beta 7 yet. After that it would go to RC, which generally means Release Candidate. Sometimes we see 1, 2, even 3 RC versions before a stable release. So if all this is going to happen before the end of the year we ought to see some action soon. It has been fairly quiet at Boonex Unity lately, and no word recently on anything new or exciting. Just the usual arguing in the Unity Blogs and Forums...Nothing new.
In just over 1 month from now one full year will have passed since the original blog post at unity that said Dolphin 7 was on the way. I think most people were under the impression that on the way meant soon, not 1 year.
If Boonex is good for their word we shouldn't have too much longer to wait.
