After reviewing ticket #2250 it appears it will somehow include DNSBL and Askimet blocking.
With spam skyrocketing all over the internet this is long overdue for Dolphin. Any additional spam protection and control Boonex can add to Dolphin is welcome. Hopefully it works and works well. I will definitely be looking into it and checking it out more once Dolphin 7.0.4 is released.
I get so tired of dealing with all the spam that I have turned off sign up / registration and turned off automatic approval of a number of Dolphin 7 features.
But, it's hardly just Dolphin. There are so many sites overwhelmed with spam. From forum sites, to blog sites, social networking sites, etc. etc. you name it.
I think it would be nearly impossible to eliminate it completely, but anything that will help cut it down even if it's just slightly would be a welcome addition to any site owner or administrator.
