How To Install Boonex RMS (Media Server) CentOS 5x - 6x+

This tutorial will walk your through the steps required to install RMS on CentOS 5, 6, + including instructions for installing Open JDK/JRE or Oracle JRE (Java). As always helpful screen shots are included for reference.


The tutorials below explain what you need to do in your administration backend. They assume that you already have the media server installed, or that you are using a 3rd party provider. Helpful screen shots included in each section below.
7.1.x RMS Settings and Configuration

This tutorial shows you how to turn on and enable the RMS feature. Overall it's a simple process that only takes a few moments. You will need to have either a host that provides it as part of your hosting plan. A VPS or Dedicated server with root access to install it yourself, or you can use a 3rd party provider.

6.1.x - Basics of Ray RMS Settings

Login to your Dolphin Admin Panel and find the Plugins...Ray Suite on the left column as pictured. Find and click on the "Base Settings" in the top right...

Overall the process has been nearly the same for all versions listed above. The only difference is the location, and the visual appearance in the admin panel. In 6.1.x it was located under Plugins -> Ray Suite. In the newer 7.1.x it is under Modules -> Flash Apps.
