Tutorial

First you will need to go to Google's +1 code page and pick the size and style you want to use.
http://www.google.com/webmasters/+1/button/index.html

After picking your size and style, it will give you 2 lines of code you need to add to your Dolphin 7 website.

Google +1 Code Page

The first line of code will look something like this:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js"></script>

You will need to put this code in the _header.html between the <head> and </head> section.

Open /templates/base/_header.html

You need to add the code before the </head>.

Example before adding the code:

<script type="text/javascript">
var oBxUserStatus = new BxUserStatus();
oBxUserStatus.userStatusInit('<bx_url_root />', false);
</script>
</head>

Example after adding the code:

<script type="text/javascript">
var oBxUserStatus = new BxUserStatus();
oBxUserStatus.userStatusInit('<bx_url_root />', false);
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js"></script>
</head>

Save the changes back to your hosting account.

Note:
If you have additional 3rd party Dolphin 7 templates installed you may need to add the code to each of them. Some 3rd party templates include their own _header.html (/templates/template-name/_header.html) and others use the default Boonex _header.html (/templates/base/_header.html) file.

The second line of code will look something like this:
<g:plusone size="medium"></g:plusone>

You will need to add this line of code to the page you want to actually display the Google +1 button on.

This might be in a html block or directly added to one of your pages in your template.

After adding both codes, you will need to clear the cache in Dolphin 7 administration for templates and JS/CSS.

Clear Dolphin 7 Cache

If you are trying to add the Google +1 code in your Dolphin 7 administration page builders to a html block and it doesn't seem to be working, it is likely the code is being stripped or removed by Dolphin's security. If this is the case you may check out this tutorial, which will show you how to manually add it to the database:

Dolphin 7 Code stripped from Html Block

If you are manually adding the Google +1 code to a specific page you will likely need to add it to:
/templates/base/file-name.html (your desired html file to add it to)

If you are using a 3rd party template or templates you may need to add the code to:
/templates/template-name/file-name.html (your desired html file to add it to in a 3rd party template)

Note:
If you have more than 1 template you may need to or want to add the code to all your templates. It just depends on what kind of template you have installed and how many.

Additionally:
Do not forget to clear your Dolphin 7 templates and JS/CSS cache to make sure the changes update.
