I am having this problem.

I have four membership status'.

Standard, Promotion, Trial and Gold

It is set to upgrade to Promotion when someone validates their email address.  The system will then change it to Promotion.  When I look under the Admin, User, Manage Membership Type, I can see that is has been changed to Promotion.  If I change the user back to Standard, I can see the changes in the Admin section.  However, when I edit the member and change it to Gold or Trial and then look under Admin, User, Manage Membership Type, it just list it at Promotion.  It won't change it to Gold or Trial.

Is this a bug?

What am I doing wrong.
