I was reading an article the other day about the struggling economy and how apparently this stimulus money and program was starting to show signs that it was working.
As I continued reading the article it did say some states here in the U.S. report a so-called new job even if it is only for a few hours. It went on to say that some stimulus money had created sort of temporary jobs. In some states people were hired for 30 hours of work total, but the state counted it as a newly created job for their statistics they report. Which in turn reflects a positive number of new jobs and a slight recovering.
There have been a tons of discussions about the economy, the stimulus, loss of jobs not only here in the U.S. but around the world. In my neck of the woods I haven't noticed anything that would indicate a recovering economy. I still think it is as bad as ever. I can't even say that we have reached the bottom of the hole we have dug yet, or if we are still digging. I hope we are done digging the hole, but it's not totally clear yet where I live.
I think we are all hoping for a prompt and speedy recovery. It just don't seem to be happening as fast as we were hoping for or what some had led us to expect. I will continue to be optimistic and hopeful for now.
