September 2011 Uptime Report

I have been using Pindom's free uptime monitoring for a few months now. I have been very impressed and pleased with the service, and you can't beat the free price tag either.

I have it set to check every 5 minutes, which I think is more than often enough. They do have an option to check every 1 minute, but I don't see the point.

For September 2011 I had 99.98% uptime with only 2 outages and 10 minutes 1 second of downtime. The average response time was 1129 ms. The response time seems to be in the range of what many other sites report and considering you get ping'd from all over the world not a big deal.

I am mostly concerned with uptime and at 99.98% I have no complaints.

I skipped last month's report because I was making some dns changes that affected uptime.

At any rate if you are wondering about what kind of uptime you host can really provide check out Pingdom sometime. They have a free option. It is very simple to set up and nothing to it.
