North Korea Continues Threats

For a while there wasn't a single day that didn't go by that I didn't read something about North Korea. If it wasn't the nuclear testing they were doing, it was UN sanctions of some kind. For a time being it was the two reporters that strayed into North Korea and got captured.

It had been pleasantly quiet with North Korea for sometime. I should have known that it wouldn't last long. North Korea seems to be in the spotlight once again. This time with more threats of retaliating for a joint U.S. and South Korea training exercise. They keep talking about bombing the U.S. and/or South Korea with nuclear weapons.

I enjoy politics a little, but do not follow all the details. Nor would I probably know all the history and behind the scenes things about North Korea. All I know is what I frequently read about them in the news. I do not live there so I don't know what the overall feeling or mood is in that part of the world. I kind of lean towards North Korea is a little crazy.

Who really knows what their intentions are or what they are up to and thinking. I also think it's not smart or wise to tell a country you would like to nuke them, and make statements about wiping them off the face of the planet. Whether it is the U.S. or some other country. I just don't think that is normal rational thinking.

This is a country that really shouldn't have nuclear weapons. They appear to be a loose cannon waiting to go off. There is also the fact that they have been known to sell weapons to other countries, and possibly even to terrorist groups and organizations.

I'm not sure if North Korea can even be persuaded to do away with the nuclear program they are working on or not. Even if they could and the UN is allowed to inspect North Korea would they be honest or try to hide the program from UN inspectors.

They just worry me with their open statements about nuking the U.S. What if they don't get along with other countries in the future are they just going to threaten them with nuclear bombs too?

I don't know what the solution would be with North Korea. They just worry me a little.
