Google Algorithm Change
Google recently announced a change to their algorithm. It seems to imply it is mostly to combat spam and sites that copy or scrape from other sites. The concept is that quality original content will be more likely to show up in search results. Google suggests that it will affect around 2% of queries with less than 1/2% would change enough to really notice.
That doesn't sound like very big numbers, but consider the amount of traffic and searches Google handles in a given day it is still fairly large.
They really don't go into detail about how they determine what is quality original content.
It does bring up a number of thoughts and questions. Which they most likely will not disclose.
I think it is kind of a good idea depending on how they are really going about it. Something to follow and see how it works out.
