I was surprised when I found out that Quentin Tarantino plans to make a sequel to "Kill Bill". I didn't like it even if both Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 are cool. I know that Tarantino is aware of essay writing that say that sequels are generally not as good as the original, but it's hard to resist if luck is on his side.
"Kill Bill Vol. 1" has one "open" scene - Vernita Green's daughter sees her mom being killed by Beatrix Kiddo (played by Uma Thurman). Instead of killing her too, the Black Mamba told the little girl that she would be waiting for her in case she wants to avenge her mother's death. I bet she would be looking for essay papers on martial arts. She might hooked up with Sofie Fatale, who survived the massacre at the House of Blue Leaves.
I thought Beatrix's reunion with her little girl is good enough; I don't need to find out if Vernita's girl would grow up to seek revenge or if Sofie would inherit Bill's riches and use it to kill the Black Mamba. But both Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 made money. It's all about the moolah.
