Boonex Attack and Dolphin Admin Panel Inaccessible
Boonex Attack and Dolphin Admin Panel Inaccessible
708 days ago Categories: Boonex

Apparently Boonex has been under a dos/ddos attack the past several days. You may find Boonex.com not available, inaccessible, or even see a message about the site being temporarily unavailable or similar.

This may also affect your Dolphin Admin panel. If you are unable to login to your Dolphin Admin panel most likely it is because your Admin panel is set to Show Boonex News in admin panel, which is the default setting.

Your Admin panel will try to access the news feed from Boonex.com. If the Boonex site happens to be down, then your admin panel will just hang and do nothing as it continues to try to get this information from Boonex.

To do away with this you should turn off "Show Boonex News in admin panel". Change it from 1 to 0.

You can do so for Dolphin 7 here:
http://www.yoursite.com/administration/advanced_settings.php

It really isn't necessary to have: "show boonex news" enabled in your admin panel anyway unless you really can't live without this. All this news information is available on the Boonex.com site anyway.
