Advertising and Promoting Your Boonex Dolphin Website

Sometimes I get asked "how do I find or get people to sign up and join my Dolphin website?" That can be a tough one, and it can be difficult depending on the type of site or group your site caters to.

The good news is there are tons, and I do mean tons of places you can advertise and promote your site online for virtually FREE if you are willing to put in the time and effort. You could pay someone if you have some extra cash, or if you don't have a lot of spare time.

I mean just think about it. There are millions, maybe even billions of websites out there that you can use to gain exposure to your website. Whether you have a Dolphin website, or any other for that matter. It doesn't matter. Certain types of sites and content will be a little more difficult than others. For example, it can be a bit more difficult to promote a site that is for members over 18 years old.

I think people tend to make things more difficult and do more thinking than necessary when it comes to promoting their website.

All you need to do to get started is post links to your site and pages on another site. It usually doesn't need to be any big write up.

So what are some examples:

  • Forum Sites
  • Social Media/Networking Sites
  • Social Bookmarking Sites
  • Participating on Blog Sites
  • Various Directory Sties

You could also do things like writing articles for websites that allow you to add a few links back to your site. Obviously this would be a little more time-consuming, but it can bring better quality traffic if done right.

Now this doesn't mean going to these kinds of sites and dropping your link and spamming the heck out of them. You won't last long at any of them if you go that route. Join the conversations and add something of value, and you never know where it will lead.

There are a few other methods, but the above-mentioned are the most popular and probably the easiest to get started with.

Will they bring you tons of new members?
Probably not, but you never know. It really depends on how you go about it. If you spend 2 seconds on these sites hoping to push a bunch of visitors to your site it probably won't work out so well for you. If you put a little time and effort into it, and learn the ropes you can attract the attention of people that will visit your site. That doesn't mean that they will decide to sign up and join your site, but at least you are making people aware that your site exists.

Until Next Time...
